The Real-Life Zombies

There is a type of fungus called Ophiocordyceps that can turn ants into "zombies." When an ant is infected by this fungus, it loses control of its body and starts to act strangely. The fungus takes over the ant's mind and makes it climb to a high place. Once there, the fungus forces the ant to bite down on a leaf or branch, and then it kills the ant. The fungus grows out of the ant's body, spreading its spores to infect other ants. It's like a real-life horror movie!
